CHINA will issue a special stamp tomorrow to raise funds for the earthquake victims in Sichuan Province, the State Post Bureau and China Post Co said today.
The stamp, with red hearts clustered together in the middle, is priced at 1.20 yuan (17 US cents), but will be sold at 2.20 yuan. The extra 1 yuan will be donated to victims of the country's deadliest disaster in three decades, the report said.
A total of 13 million sets of stamps will be available at all above-county post offices across the country starting tomorrow through June 20, the report said.
China Post Co also said it will donate all 15.6 million yuan from sales of the stamp as well as the extra proceeds of 13 million yuan to disaster areas via the government's civil affairs authorities, the report added.
